After a hugely successful launch issue, we’re proud to announce CREPE CITY issue 02.



Our second issue follows the same format set out by issue 01, reflecting the main themes of CREPE CITY as a brand and event; SNEAKERS, COLLECTING, and CULTURE.



The cover is printed on 300gsm satin paper stock before being laminated and grained to give it our unique texture, finished with a spot UV varnish on the embossed logo. This issue sees us move on from the blank launch cover of issue 01 and present a choice of two striking covers – Nike Air Max BW Premium and adidas Originals NMD City Sock – reflecting the current interests of sneaker culture in Europe and beyond, from 1990s retros to future focused silhouettes.



Issue 02 consists of 182 pages filled with exceptional content from the likes of Gary Warnett, David Hellqvist, Bruno Drummond, JODI, Gary Aspden, Samuel Smith, Joe Cruz, Gregk Foley, Seth Footring, Simone Smyth, and Phil Knott. Ranging from eye grabbing and thought provoking photographic editorials, to interviews with Steve Van Doren, Matt Halfhill of Nice Kicks, or Nic Galway of adidas Originals, to a 14 page ode to the PUMA DISC SYSTEM. CREPE CITY issue 02 talks to anyone who has an interest in sneakers, the histories behind them, and the surrounding cultures.



Archive, our encyclopedia-within-a-magazine, makes a strong return this issue, showcasing a personal selection of 53 pairs from Steve Van Doren – one of the most interesting Vans collections possible. Archive is our nod to the geeky side of sneaker collecting, or hoarding if we’re being more honest. Archive isn’t about hype or resell value, it’s about cherished favourites, forgotten gems, unsung heroes, and even the occasional unknown sample.
